It is worth hopping out of bed early to experience Café Rouge’s unique breakfast menu. Try their signature breakfast dish - Oeufs Benedict - soft poached eggs on sliced ham and toasted brioche smothered in hollandaise sauce with lyonasie potatoes or a sweet option of beautifully morish French toast topped with fresh fruit served with a delightful mini pot of Bonne Maman honey to drizzle over! The lunch and dinner menu offers something for every possible eventuality. The plats rapides are ideal for a break from hitting the shops, with quiche Lorraine and salmon fishcakes just two options for a lunch on the move, while sandwiches and salads provide even more choice. If you have a little more time, opt for a full three-course meal. Beignets de Crab - pan-fried crab cakes are a great way to begin; and moving on, choose tasty duck confit with plum sauce, French beans and creamy Dauphinoise potatoes, or salads that dispel the myth that they offer a less hearty meal option. They have also just expanded their Mussels range now offering three choices of sauce all served in a classic Moules pot available in either a kilo or half portion.
