There’s always something going on in Solihull and 2013 is set to be an amazing year to visit.

As the home of The NEC and LG Arena there are always exciting, major events and concerts to feast your eyes on. This year the LG Arena alone will be playing host to Elton John, Florence and the Machine, Andre Rieu, Snow Patrol, Diversity, The Wanted and X Factor Live to name but a few!

Solihull Festivals showcase great music, comedy, literature, dance and fabulous food in a town renowned for fantastic shopping and a vibrant café culture. Festival fun throughout 2013 kicked off in April with Lolihull - Solihull’s brand new laugh-a-minute comedy and literature event - before the summer months buzzed with the musical delights of the Solihull Jazz & Blues Festival and Dance Live.

Solihull’s taste buds will be tempted in October with a weekend of glorious food events, competitions and mouthwatering special offers at The Big Taste 2013. Keep up-to-date with all that is going this year and in 2014 by following Solihull Festivals on Facebook Facebook and @solihullfests on Twitter, or sign-up for our newsletter.

For further info on our Festivals and Events why don't you follow or 'like' us on Facebook or Twitter or see a full list of all events here!

For those looking to explore the local area, there is also plenty to choose from. Local events include the Farmers’ Market which takes place on the 1st Friday of every month, family park events and activities, community festivals, the Arts Complex programme and a variety of town centre events, promotions and activities. From guided walks, Shakespeare plays or farmers markets to music events, family fun or Christmas Fayres, take a look at the events calendar to find out what’s on throughout the year.

Solihull is right in the centre of the UK, so why not make Solihull your base and explore Shakespeare country, the bright lights of Birmingham or the rural delights of Warwickshire and Hereford & Worcester too?
