Solihull really deserves its title of being the ‘Gateway to the West Midlands’ and getting here is simplicity itself.
If you are coming by car there is nowhere in Solihull that is more than ten minutes from the major motorway junctions running along the M5, M6, M40 and M42.
Our great motorway, road and rail links mean that we are within easy travelling distance of the neighbouring areas of Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford, Leamington Spa, Coventry and Worcestershire, making many visitor and business destinations within easy reach.
We are located at the heart of the UK’s motorway network on the M42 which links to the M5 for the West and South West of the UK. The M42 also links to the M6 which is the main route to Manchester, Liverpool and the North West and the M1 for London and the North and North East, as well as the M40 to Oxford and London.
Being just over an hour from London by train makes Solihull such an easy destination to reach. Mainline services run from London Euston station and the North West and the NEC, LG Arena and Birmingham Airport can be accessed from Birmingham International Station. There are also connections from Birmingham to Solihull station in the town centre, as well as to London Marylebone station and the Chilterns.
Long distance and local bus services are amongst the best in the country, many local services even having wireless Internet access. National Express and Megabus offer a network of connections to the rest of the UK.
